Ten tips for attracting a following on Twitter

OK, so you’ve been persuaded by all the Twitter hype that the terse messaging service might actually help advance your career, build your reputation, or attract new customers to your business.

But how do you actually get people to “follow’’ you on Twitter? There’s not much incentive to compose useful or witty messages (known as “tweets’’ on the service) if you don’t feel anyone is out there.

I’ve been collecting advice this month from digital media consultants in Boston who have attracted thousands of followers on Twitter, and also some executives at local businesses that have built a respectable following on their own. Here are their 10 key recommendations, relevant to those who are new to Twitter and those who have been dabbling for a while but haven’t yet amassed a substantial audience.

10 Great Scientists of all time

Scientists have enormous contribution in the advancement of human civilization. Throughout the history of the world, many scientists have dedicated their lives for research and innovation. Some of them even faced a lot of torture for their theories but they continued their mission and thus we are now in a modern world. I have made a list of 10 great scientists in the history. Well, naturally, I had to leave out a lot of great figures. However, I feel that my list represents some of the greatest scientists ever.

Aristotle

Aristotle is the Great philosopher who had a vast knowledge in different disciplines. Studying different subject he contributed a lot in each of those subjects. He contributed in physics, poetry, zoology, logic, rhetoric, politics, government, ethics, and biology. This laurel Greek philosopher was born in Stagira in 384 BC. His father Nicomachus was a physician to the king Amyntas III of Macedon’s court and it is believed that their ancestors also held this position. Earlier in his life he was taught by his father at home and the medical knowledge he got from his father led him to investigate natural phenomenon later on. At the age of 18 he admitted in to the young Greek aristocracy run by Plato, another Great Greek philosopher, and Aristotle became the most favorite student of Plato.
As a scientist Aristotle made a good contribution which was very influential for the development of the science over the year. Mainly he spent most of his life researching the natural science and he did the researches without making reference to the Mathematics which was later proven as the weakness of his research by the scientists. His natural science oriented research includes botany, zoology, physics, astronomy, chemistry, and meteorology, geometry and many more. He was also the teacher of the Great warrior Alexander the Great. This great philosopher died n 322 BC.

Top 10 Animation Books

"Animation can explain whatever the mind of man can conceive." – Walt Disney

Have you ever found a book that you began to read which held your attention so much it was difficult to put down? Animators have! When an animator discovers a really good book about his craft they simply can't lay it down. The book speaks a language only they understand. The best animation books are the ones that you cannot put down. They are an elite group of books written by the founders of animation and only a handful of their students.

Reading alone does not make anyone an animator. But, having the history and knowledge of animation from individuals like Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas at your finger tips is priceless. Those studying animation will quickly find they have committed themselves to a life long adventure of learning the art. Masters of any art form are life long learners. There are ten got to have books we will share with you today. One of these is referred to as the "Animation Bible."

Studying animation can be just as much fun as animating itself. True study always involves theory and hands on. Reading animation books is necessary for any experienced or aspiring animator if they want to grow in their profession. Think about this for a moment, the following books you are about to become acquainted with cover more than 75 years of animation history. How important do you think they are? The original Disney's nine old men are all dead now, along with many others like Art Babbitt, but their knowledge and legacy live on through film and books.

About hardware he said: “March 2013 saw deep declines of 32% in dollar spending for dedicated video game hardware, with stronger declines for portable hardware than for consoles. However, sales for the Nintendo 3DS grew 9% over last March. In March 2013, the Xbox 360 had the highest hardware unit sales for the 20th month in a row.”
About games he said: “Two strong launches for the month included Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite, which were the highest first month sales for games in these franchises. With solid performances of new games like Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, and Monster Hunter Ultimate 3 [on 3DS].”

#10 Id Software
Id unofficially started in September of 1990 when John Carmack, Adrian Carmack, John Romero, and Tom Hall created the first game in the Commander Keen series, Invasion of the Vorticons. One month after Commander Keen was released into shareware, John Carmack, Adrian Carmack, and John Romero left their jobs at Softdisk Publishing and officially began Id Software, on February 1, 1991.
As a renown leader in the industry and one of the world's leading developer, Id Software has forged frenetic titles such as Wolfenstein 3-D, Doom, Quake and Rage.
Named for the instinctual part of the human psyche first identified by Freud, Id's software development team continues to shape the future of gaming.
On June 24, 2009, it was announced that the formerly independent Id Software had been acquired by ZeniMax Media Inc., as part of an effort to bring Id's creative output under the umbrella of Bethesda Softworks (creators of the acclaimed Elder Scrolls RPG franchise) and to provide a solid financial foundation for future Id Software developments.
